Be intentional with whatever story you tell…

Trailers can be influenced by source content, but its not a given:

ADDITIONAL TRAILER SUGGESTIONS

  • Keep it short - 2 Minutes Max

  • Trailers =/= Lore Setup

  • Don’t give away too much, but reveal enough {story, gameplay, mechanics, etc} to generate interest

Common Trailer Pitfalls

  • No Sound / Audio

  • Audio / Music Dissonance or Copyright Issues

  • Too much narrative exposition, not enough hook

  • Too specific or too general - consider your audience, but don’t exclude potential players
